Wow, what a great Rice Harvest dance. We had 23 squares this year. The calling and queing were fabulous. Thank you so much to Fred Goynes and Garland Smith. Special thanks to Digger Davis and Tombstone for entertaining us during the dinner and Rythym Creations for setting up her beautiful store for our shopping pleasure. Of course, special thanks to the whole club who helped, from shopping for the briskets, cooking, cleaning, setting up, tearing down, many long hours of work went into this years dance and it showed.
I love this time of year because of the Rice Harvest dance and because once it's over, it's time to get ready for the Hoe Down. Hoe Down will be at the Ft. Bend county fairgrounds this year. It should be a blast. Check out more information at www.squarethru.com.
